Water and Sewer Operations

Tay Township operates 2 Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and 2 Water Pollution Control Plants (WPCP).

The Water Treatment Plants (WTP) are:

Victoria Harbour WTP - services Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour and Waubaushene
Rope Subdivision WTP - services the Rope Subdivision

The Water Pollution Control Plants (WPCP) are:

Port McNicoll WPCP - services Port McNicoll
Victoria Harbour WPCP - services Victoria Harbour

In addition to 24 hour alarm monitoring, Environmental Staff conduct plant checks including such tests as Chlorine Residual and Turbidity on a daily basis.

Tay Township undertakes on a weekly basis bacteriological testing for all its water treatment plants and also at designated locations in the water distribution system (i.e. watermains).
