TAY Canada Day Celebrations

Date: Jun 21, 2019 - Jun 23, 2019

Location: 290 Park Street, Victoria Harbour - "Under the BIG TOP"

On the 21st & 22nd June 2019 Tay Township will be celebrating Canada’s 152nd Birthday. Our event is so special, to the point that it has grown into the second most favourite celebration to attend in the area. It is not only a family affair, overflowing with events for all ages, but also encompasses 2 adult evenings filled camaraderie, song and dance. We are a not for profit organization, and our main objective is to break even. However, the overwhelming success of last year's event allowed us to be able to donate funds to not only "Radio for Cardiology” & The St Vincent de Paul – Foodbank, but also 7 other deserving charities and local clubs This year we have pulled out all stops and are organizing two days of non-stop entertainment. Friday has been designated Country Evening & Barn Dance, which will be hi-lighted by a top-rated Country Tribute Band, Garth Brooks/Toby Keith and a special set by Elton John (tribute). On Saturday, back by popular demand all the way from Montreal, North America’s #1 AC/DC tribute band “21 Gun Salute.” There will also be two afternoon opening act bands. Saturday commences with the ever-popular Canada Day Parade at 12 noon and FREE Hamburgers & Sausages for the entire community. Albeit, we are still in the planning stages, the afternoon will be filled with entertainment for one and all (Children’s Watermelon Eating Contest), (40+ stall contingent of artisans), (Exotic Petting Zoo, Face Painters, Balloon Twisters, Uni-cyclist/Juggler.) Something for the entire family and it’s all absolutely FREE! So come one, come all to this fabulous celebration!
