Animal Control

Canine Control ensures a safe and healthy environment for both residents and animals in our Municipality. Our Canine Control Service is committed to keeping your pets safe, we have a Licencing Program that will help reunite you with your pet if it gets lost.

Always remember to keep your dog on a leash when out in the Township unless you are at the Leash-Free Park located at the OSPCA grounds. Our local humane society provides a number of services, including pet adoptions.

To report dogs at large, dog attacks, barking dogs or poop-and-scoop violations contact the Tay Township By-law Department 705-534-7248 extension 248.

Care Animal and Pest Control has been contracted by the Township to provide pound keeper services effective May 1, 2018. The pound keeper is responsible for housing stray and lost animals found in Tay by By-law Officers and residents until they are claimed by their owner. Care Animal and Pest Control offers adoption services for dogs that are not reclaimed.
