Mayor Warnock said “It has been a pleasure having Bill [Rawson] on Tay Township Council for the past 13 years in both his rolls as Councillor and then Deputy Mayor.  He has been a dedicated advocate for Township residents and should be proud of his service over the last four terms of Council.  I would like to thank Bill and his wife Janet for their contributions to our community both public and privately.  On behalf of Council, staff and residents of Tay Township, I wish him a speedy recovery.”

  • 2006-2010 as Councillor Ward 2 (Victoria Harbour)
  • 2010-2014 as Deputy Mayor and County Councillor
  • 2014-Present as Deputy Mayor and County Councillor

Tay Township Council will declare the position of Deputy Mayor vacant at its next Council meeting on September 28, 2016.  At the same meeting, the Township Clerk will present options to Council for how to fill the Council vacancy.
