While winter seems to drag on for most of us, the longer days trigger Simcoe County’s resident wild owls to begin prepping for a busy nesting season! Join Raptor Educators Tom Goldsmith and Delaney Scott, with a combined 40 years of experience in Ontario Raptor behaviour ecology and identification, as they guide attendants on an Owl Prowl. This special event will include a short indoor introduction to the 5 species of owls that commonly inhabit the Wye Marsh, Following that, your hosts Tom and Delaney will lead a nocturnal hike on our trails to explore a variety of likely looking habitat owl nesting sites in hopes of catching a glimpse or more likely a call or two of one of our local nocturnal raptors.
