Tuesday March 31 1:30—3:00 p.m. Tay Township Public Library Port McNicoll Branch How can you help? Dementia is a word used to describe cognitive changes resulting from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Because of these changes, people living with dementia are at an increased risk for social isolation, falling prey to frauds and scams, being the target of stigma and for going missing. As a community, we can help people feel included and safe from harm. Building Safe Communities for People Living with Dementia provides you with proactive steps that you can do to help your friends, family and neighbors live as active participants in their community for as long as possible.
