Reminder: Manage Your Dog Licence Online with DocuPet

Tay Township has partnered with DocuPet to provide residents with a convenient online system to purchase, renew and manage dog licences. 

Have you licensed your dog with the Township in the past? 

Dog licensing has moved online with DocuPet. If you previously licensed your dog through the Township, you can access the DocuPet portal to review and update your information.

We encourage returning dog owners to visit the portal and make sure their contact and pet information is accurate and up to date. Keeping details such as your address, phone number and pet information current helps ensure the Township's licensing records are accurate and can also help reunite you with your dog if they become lost. 

Benefits of the New Dog Licensing Program? 

Each dog licence issued through DocuPet includes a DocuPet tag and access to the complimentary HomeSafe® 24/7 lost pet service. Each tag features a unique code linked to a secure online pet profile. If a pet goes missing, owners can submit a Lost Pet Report, while anyone who finds the pet can use the tag to submit a Found Pet Report. DocuPet’s dispatch team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help reunite lost pets with their families. 

New to Dog Licensing? 

If you have never licensed your dog with Tay Township, you can purchase a dog licence online through the DocuPet portal. If you already have a DocuPet account for another dog, you can add your new dog to your existing account. 

All dogs in Tay Township must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Proof of valid rabies vaccination is required to obtain a dog licence.
