Reminder: Remembrance Day & Veterans’ Week Services in Tay Township
As November begins, villages across Tay Township prepare to honour and remember our veterans through a series of Remembrance Day and Veterans’ Week events.
Tay Township Veterans’ Week Flag Raising
Join Tay Township as we come together to raise the Veterans' Week flag at the Municipal Office to mark the start of Veterans' Week.
When: Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
Where: Outside the Municipal Office, 450 Park Street, Victoria Harbour
Tay's Royal Canadian Legion branches will commemorate Remembrance Day and Veterans’ Week through a series of organized events. The schedule of Legion-hosted events is as follows:
Victoria Harbour: Sunset Post Branch 523 Remembrance Parade
When: Saturday, November 8
- Form-up at Branch 523 at 12:30 p.m. Service at Cenotaph at 1:00 p.m.
Where: Sunset Post Branch 523, 134 William St., Victoria Harbour
Waubaushene: RCL Beaverbrook Branch 316 Remembrance Banquet
When: Friday, November 7
- Social Hour at 5:30 p.m.
- Dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Where: RCL Branch 316, 26 Willow St., Waubaushene
Price: $20/person
Dinner for all Veterans, Veterans' Spouses, Widows, Widowers or Caregivers are compliments of RCL Branch 316. Call 705-538-2344 to reserve your tickets by November 5th.
Waubaushene: RCL Beaverbrook Branch 316 Remembrance Service
When: Sunday, November 9
- Buses depart Legion for marshaling area at 1:15 p.m.
- Parade form-up at Waubaushene Library at 1:45 p.m.
- March off at 2 p.m.
Where: Waubaushene Cenotaph
Port McNicoll: RCL Bayport Branch 545 Colour Party and Wreath Laying Ceremony
Where: Cenotaph, Port McNicoll
When: November 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
