Tay Township Firefighters connect with nearly 600 homes during safety campaign
Tay Township Fire and Emergency Services connected with nearly 600 homes on Monday, May 26 during a door-to-door campaign focused on smoke alarm and carbon monoxide (CO) education and safety.
Firefighters in uniform visited homes throughout the Township and provided educational materials, answered questions, and spoke with residents about how to keep their homes and families safe.
This friendly, educational initiative is part of a broader effort to connect with residents directly, share life-saving information, and help ensure every household understands their responsibilities under Ontario’s Fire Code.
Residents who missed the visit or would like to speak with someone from the department are encouraged to contact:
Jenny Duffy Fire and Emergency Services Assistant
705-534-7248 ext. 262

This program will rotate to other areas of the Township each year. Our Fire Department is always available to help you with your smoke and CO alarms. The goal is to ensure that working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are in every home in Tay Township.
