Update: Talbot Street Paving Complete; Temporary Road Closure for Line Painting July 12, 2026

Update: The paving work on Talbot Street in Port McNicoll, from Highway 12 to Triple Bay Road, has been completed ahead of schedule, and the road has reopened to traffic. 

To complete the final stage of the project, a contractor will require a temporary road closure in the same area, on July 12 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to complete line painting. 

A signed detour will be in place via Triple Bay Road to the traffic lights at Highway 12 during the closure. 

The Township thanks residents and motorists for their patience and understanding while this work is completed.

Road Closure: Talbot Street from Highway 12 to Triple Bay Road July 6 to 14, 2026

Please be advised that Talbot Street in Port McNicoll, from Highway 12 to Triple Bay Road, will be closed from July 6 to 14, 2026, while CCH and Global Simcoe Paving complete the final grinding and paving work.

The temporary road closure is required to ensure the safety of workers and the public during construction. 

A signed detour will be in place via Triple Bay Road to the traffic lights at Highway 12.
