Turning Your Water On and Off

Residents wishing to book an appointment to have their water turned-on, may do so by calling Tay Township Operational Services during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 705-534-7248 ext 230 or 255.

Appointments are required 1 business day in advance in order for crews to schedule the work.

Water shut offs will be completed the same day only if it is due to an emergency. The after hours fee may be applied for same day service.

Some properties in the Grandview Beach, Paradise Point and Robins Point areas are entitled to water being turned on and turned off once per year at no charge. These cases are limited to specific grandfathered properties that have seasonal quality plumbing on private property. These properties pay the same full water rates as all other water users.

• The water turn on will be by appointment on weekdays between 8:00AM-3:00PM after April 1.
• All seasonal water services will be shut off on or soon after November 10, or earlier upon request.
• Tay Township does not offer set times for Turn on and Off
• There is a two hour booking window for the operator to arrive, if scheduling a plumber, be mindful that the operator may arrive anytime between this two hour window.
• Seasonal Water will not be turned on without someone present at the residence.

• $100.00 Turn On / $100.00 Turn Off
